British singer-songwriter RAYE has officially released her highly anticipated sophomore album This Music May Contain Hope, ushering in a bold and emotionally charged new chapter in her career. The 17-track project follows her breakthrough debut My 21st Century Blues and is now available for global streaming.

The album represents more than just a musical release—it symbolizes RAYE’s journey toward creative independence. After facing challenges with Polydor Records, where she struggled to release a full-length project, the artist parted ways with the label in 2021. She later aligned with Human Re Sources, allowing her full artistic freedom and setting the stage for her current success.

RAYE first rose to prominence as a student of the BRIT School, and her persistence has since paid off in remarkable ways. In 2023, she secured her first U.K. No. 1 hit with “Escapism,” featuring 070 Shake. Her momentum continued into 2024, when she made history at the BRIT Awards by winning six awards in a single night—surpassing previous records held by Harry Styles, Adele, and Blur.

The new album builds on that success with a deeply personal and ambitious concept. Structured into four thematic chapters, This Music May Contain Hope is described as a “sonic journey from darkness to light.” The record explores themes of healing, resilience, and self-reflection, with RAYE emphasizing music’s therapeutic power. She describes the project as “medicine,” intended not only for herself but also for listeners seeking comfort and strength.

The lead single “Where Is My Husband?” has already made a strong impact, earning RAYE her second U.K. No. 1 in early 2026 and reaching No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100—her highest-charting track in the United States to date. The song also set the tone for the album’s theatrical and genre-blending sound.

Adding to the album’s depth are collaborations with renowned composer Hans Zimmer and soul legend Al Green, alongside contributions from the London Symphony Orchestra and her sisters Amma and Absolutely. These elements bring a cinematic quality to the project, blending orchestral arrangements with contemporary pop, R&B, and jazz influences.

To support the release, RAYE has embarked on a sold-out North American tour, beginning in Sacramento. She is also set to join Bruno Mars as a special guest on his upcoming tour, further expanding her global reach.

With This Music May Contain Hope, RAYE not only reinforces her artistic identity but also delivers a powerful statement about independence, resilience, and the healing power of music.
