When BTS member Suga was once asked about the secret behind the group’s worldwide success, his answer came instantly. “We’re really funny,” he said. It sounded simple, but ARMY would agree there was plenty of truth in it.

Over the last 13 years, BTS has built a legacy filled with chart topping music, sold out stadiums and record breaking achievements. Yet beyond the performances and awards, fans have fallen in love with something far less polished. From accidental comedy and travel mishaps to heartfelt friendships and emotional confessions, BTS has created countless moments that continue to live rent free in ARMY’s minds.

For anyone looking to revisit the group’s most beloved content, shows like Run BTS, In TheSoop, Bon Voyage and their live streams remain the perfect place to start.

Shows that defined BTS on stage

Run BTS remains one of the group’s most iconic variety series. The premise was often simple. Put seven competitive members in a room, add food, games and questionable rule making, then watch chaos unfold. The series delivered everything from intense Mafia games and water challenges to hilarious betrayals between teammates.

Meanwhile, In TheSoop offered a completely different side of BTS. Across two seasons, the members escaped to the countryside where they spent their time fishing, painting, cooking and relaxing together. Even in a peaceful setting, comedy found its way in, including Jin’s unforgettable cooking advice to V: “If he flips it, he flips it.”

Bon Voyage took the chaos overseas. With minimal supervision and plenty of freedom, BTS navigated airports, foreign cities and travel disasters while creating some of the fandom’s most treasured memories. Their live broadcasts added another layer to the experience, often producing unplanned moments that became instant fan favourites.

The legendary cooking disaster

One of the funniest episodes of Run BTS came during a cooking challenge led by Jin and Suga. Acting as chefs, they guided their teammates remotely through microphones while J-Hope served as host.

While Jin managed to keep Jungkook and V relatively on track, Suga quickly found himself overwhelmed by RM and Jimin. Confusion escalated at every turn. At one point, a frustrated Suga ordered RM to stand in a corner as punishment. Things only became worse when both RM and Jimin failed to distinguish between salt and sugar while preparing their stew. Their attempt to fix the dish only made it more disastrous. The finishing touch came when Jimin plated the meal in an old squirrel bowl and topped it off with a pancake resting on spring onions.

The guessing game

Few Run BTS episodes have delivered as many laughs as Episodes 140 and 141. The members first tackled the notoriously confusing attendance game, where they had to point at one member while calling out another member’s name.

Jimin struggled repeatedly before finally mastering it. Surprisingly, Jin was eliminated early, followed by Suga. The real chaos arrived during a celebrity guessing challenge where incorrect answers meant losing dishes from lunch.

With food on the line, panic quickly set in. The standout moment came when V failed to recognise Robert Downey Jr and referred to Leonardo DiCaprio as “Ricaprio,” sending the rest of the members into complete disbelief.

Heartwarming moments

Not every memorable BTS moment was about comedy. One of the most touching Run BTS episodes saw the members separated before reuniting at meaningful locations from their early years, including their first dormitory. When V, Jin and Jimin eventually found each other again, they shared an emotional group hug. “I knew that you would be here.” For many fans, that scene carried even more weight during the members’ military service period.

Another emotional highlight arrived during Bon Voyage when the members exchanged handwritten letters. V’s letter to Jimin left both fans and members in tears. “Before our debut, you once got anxious about it. At the time, I had a meeting with the company, and they asked me what I thought of you being on the team. I thought it over and said that you were there for me through the ups and downs. You were the one who laughed and cried with me. So I said that it would be good if such a good friend could debut with me. It felt good to say that and I was happy to be able to debut with you.” He continued, “When I cry in the bathroom, you’re there to cry with me. You come at dawn to laugh with me. You care about me and have me in your thoughts. I love you buddy.”

Jimin later responded, “I don’t know what others might think. I actually learn a lot from him. He makes me feel good and touches my heart often. That’s when I’m grateful to have Taehyung as my friend. So I want to say I’m grateful.”

Then there were the legendary Halloween videos. One standout performance featured BTS dancing to Go Go with V dressed as Snow White while the others played the seven dwarves. The oversized shoes proved too much for Jin, and one flew off during the choreography, creating yet another classic BTS moment that still makes ARMY laugh years later.
