This year could be the year of new beginnings as pop queen Miley Cyrus is also changing her record label after a long time, just like Ed Sheeran did a few months back. Hannah Montana, aka Miley Cyrus, has signed a new deal with Atlantic Records after the end of her contract with Columbia Records. Working under the new label might create a new chapter in her musical journey, and the latest releases confirm that.
After leaving Sony Music’s Columbia, Cyrus is prepared to drop more music projects in the coming days, like the smash hit projects like ‘Flowers’ that helped her win her first Grammy of her life. Miley has been working under Columbia for a while, and there are a few significant hit projects released under this label, like ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ and ‘Something Beautiful’.

Last year, Miley was found teasing new music at the album listening event for ‘Something Beautiful’. She also offered a disclaimer for the upcoming album, saying, “my next album is about to be extremely experimental, so have fun with that.” Perhaps it is time for the next album to be released under Atlantic Records. However, Miley is having quite a busy 2026 with a stuffed roster of events.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of ‘Hannah Montana,’ the pop teenage character played by Cyrus, who influenced the young generation to pursue music and become a star in the industry. This special celebration will take place through a grand event where the artist might provide a special set. Miley has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she absolutely deserves.
During the event, Cyrus said, “To my family, my future family, parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, my collaborators, thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me,” and she further added, “Today is something that I’ll never forget and I’m always going to cherish. I love you all so much, thank you.”
Singing with Atlantic Records is a win-win situation for both parties. Atlantic Records was also looking for a big pop start with a collaboration after Ed Sheeran’s contract ended, and Miley seems to be the perfect fit to take that role. This is the biggest record deal by the label since Elliot Grainge became the CEO. The label has also signed contracts with Clairo and Hilary Duff.
