Aamir Khan is set to join Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for a special music video celebrating the extraordinary legacy of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle. Titled ‘Asha Forever’, the upcoming project is being led musically by composer A.R. Rahman and will bring together three of Bollywood’s biggest stars for a tribute to one of Indian music’s most iconic voices.
The involvement of Aamir adds another major name to a project that was already attracting attention because of Shah Rukh and Salman’s participation. The three Khans rarely share the screen, making their appearance together one of the most talked-about elements of the upcoming music video. Rather than a conventional film collaboration, the project is being positioned as a heartfelt celebration of Bhosle’s immense contribution to Indian music and the generations of listeners influenced by her work.

A.R. Rahman recently expressed his gratitude to Aamir for joining the tribute. Sharing a message about the actor’s participation, the composer wrote, “Some artists have a rare ability to make every moment meaningful. Thank you, #AamirKhan, for joining us in celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Asha Bhosle ji through our small tribute to her. Your support is truly cherished.”
Rahman had previously confirmed that Salman Khan would also be part of the music video, thanking the actor for agreeing to participate and highlighting his affection for Bhosle. He wrote, “A heartfelt thank you to dear @BeingSalmanKhan for agreeing to be part of Asha Bhosle ji’s tribute music video. Your affection for Asha ji and your generosity in celebrating her extraordinary legacy make this moment incredibly special.” Shah Rukh Khan’s participation was also confirmed by Rahman, who expressed his appreciation to the actor for “graciously agreeing” to become part of the special project. With all three Khans now attached to the tribute, the music video is shaping up to be a significant Bollywood gathering.
‘Asha Forever’ was originally conceived by Rahman as a tribute to Bhosle while she was still alive. The composer had hoped to complete the project and present it to the legendary singer herself. Following her passing, Rahman decided to carry the idea forward, transforming it into a celebration of her enduring musical legacy and influence. The tribute comes at a significant time for Bhosle’s legacy, with news also emerging about her final recorded film song. Titled ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’, the song was recorded in late 2023 when Bhosle was in her 90s. It will be released on her birth anniversary on September 8 as part of the drama comedy Om Ka Hari. Directed by Harish Vyas, the father-son drama stars Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, and Ayesha Kapoor. Together, the new song and Rahman’s ‘Asha Forever’ tribute promise to keep Bhosle’s remarkable voice and legacy at the centre of the conversation.
