Shakira has added another major milestone to her already remarkable career, with her October 3 concert in Madrid becoming the most-viewed livestream performance by a female artist on Amazon Music to date. The streaming platform announced the achievement in a press release on October 4. It followed the Colombian superstar’s highly anticipated performance, which was streamed live for fans around the world. The record-setting concert formed part of Shakira’s 12-date residency at Shakira Stadium in Madrid, created for her ongoing Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The temporary venue, located within Madrid’s Iberdrola Music complex, has hosted a run of performances that began on September 18 and is scheduled to conclude on October 11 with its 12th and final date.

For fans inside the stadium, the October 3 performance delivered a celebration of Shakira’s career across three decades, bringing together some of her most recognized hits and the distinctive Latin music sound that has made her a global star. However, the night took an unexpected turn when Dua Lipa joined Shakira onstage for a special acoustic performance of ‘Antología’, the emotional track from Shakira’s 1997 album Pies Descalzos.

The appearance created one of the concert’s most memorable moments, with Dua Lipa and Shakira sharing the stage for an intimate rendition that quickly became a major talking point among fans watching both inside the venue and online. Shakira later described the surprise collaboration as something the tour had been missing, saying it was “what this tour was missing.”

Introducing Dua Lipa to the Madrid audience, Shakira spoke about the significance of performing the song alongside another globally admired artist. “For me, it’s an honor and a privilege to sing this song, which means so much to me, with this woman who is so admired and loved around the world,” Shakira said while introducing Dua Lipa to the crowd of more than 50,000 fans in front of them, plus those at home catching their duet via livestream, which viewers were able to watch via Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Twitch. Dua Lipa also reflected on the experience after the show, sharing her reaction with fans on Instagram. Writing in Spanish, she said, “I felt that you, me, and the audience were one. Very grateful to take home such a beautiful memory!!!”

Outside its impressive audience numbers, the livestream carried additional significance as part of Amazon Music’s 2026 Women Shaping Latin Music campaign. The initiative celebrates the artists, sounds and cultural movements continuing to shape Latin music, making Shakira’s record-setting performance a fitting centerpiece for the campaign. With her Madrid residency still underway, Shakira’s latest achievement adds another notable chapter to a tour already attracting global attention. The record also highlights the growing reach of livestreamed concerts, allowing major performances to connect with audiences way past thousands gathered inside the venue.
