Jon Batiste and Celeste come together in a duet for the song ‘It’s Alright’ from Disney Pixar’s animated movie called ‘Soul’. The song appears in the ending credit of the movie and encapsulates the true spirit of it. The song is a revitalized recording of the iconic song by Curtis Mayfield and it was a huge hit in 1963. The new version maintains the optimistic vibe of the classic song. It spreads blissful nostalgia. The mesmerizing piano in the song deserves a separate mention. It amplifies the intensity of the artists’ vocal performance.

Earlier in November, Disney and Pixar announced that the UK singer Celeste will be joining Grammy nominee Batiste for the UK end Credit soundtrack of their highly anticipated movie Soul. The BRIT Award-winning artist expresses her joy to be part of the film. She said, ‘The film feels so timely to us all at the moment and I feel sure will resonate with all audiences. The incredible musical score woven throughout the film is magical and I am so honored to be beside the musical maestros Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross.’

Released on December 17th, ‘It’s Alright’ is an incredible Jazz number that omits the gap between generations by resonating with everyone. The old-school nostalgia of Curtis Mayfield is rejuvenated with a contemporary twist that makes it acceptable to both the younger and older generation. The track is available on all major streaming platforms.
