Bilingual pop music has a separate fan base in the music world, and with the new generations of electrifying songs has increased its popularity in recent times. Elevating the genre even more, American Pop sensation TACEY is here with her newest release which is mixing dynamic energy with pop music style. Her new song ‘Mi Fanático’ has been released on YouTube and already started getting noticed by ardent pop fans. The promising young artist has shown incredible singing skills, and lyrical play that complemented the zestful composition in the ideal way. Moreover, the video features the artist in a very confident yet sensual way that will make you love her even more. Not just the vocals, the artist is also a terrific performer as well, maintaining the stage presence in such a way that captures the audience’s attention immediately. Recently we had the opportunity to sit with her and talk about her recent musical moves. Let’s see how it went…
DMR. Welcome to Daily Music Roll TACEY. Without any more delays, we want to share the heartiest congratulations for your newest release. How are you feeling?
TACEY. Thank you for having me and I appreciate the support:) I’m feeling great! Mi Fanático is a song that I wanted to release since long ago, I’ve been performing it live so much already so it was about time!
DMR. What is the inspiration behind ‘Mi Fanático’? What message do you hope to give your audience with this track?
TACEY. I love this question! I was born in Dallas TX to Argentine parents, I’m one of the millions in the States who grew up in a bilingual home, it’s a great thing, I’m very lucky. The idea of Mi Fanático was to create a song that more people like me could relate to. It’s about being proud of who you are and being confident of what you’re capable of, languages and nationalities should never be something that separated us or a reason to be hated. That’s the message, we are all unique and special and what you dislike about someone might be the same thing that others like.
DMR. You are bilingual and you seem to always include both languages in your music. Is this an appeal to make your art more attractive to international audiences?
TACEY. Being bilingual is my essence, it’s who I am, including both languages in my music is just being authentic to me. People know that from my very first song and it’s amazing to have the opportunity to connect with the English and Spanish audiences, it’s a privilege.
DMR. What has inspired you to become a musician? Did you always want to become one?
TACEY. Dance and music has inspired me to become an artist since I was a little girl, as a dancer I learned to appreciate music and I always knew that I wanted to be around both.
DMR. You debuted at just the age of 18 years. Did you face any unknown challenges in the industry?
TACEY. I actually started to record when I was 15 but I didn’t release any music until a few years later. I learned to be patient and keep going from the beginning, that was a challenge for sure but I grew up as a competitive dancer so I have always faced challenges.
DMR. You have amazing vocal power! Is there any particular ritual or routine that you follow to achieve this?
TACEY. Thank you! I take vocal lessons almost every day, I’m very focused and committed to my goals.
DMR. Tell our audience about the making process of ‘Mi Fanático’. How long did it take to make this dynamic track?
TACEY. The creative process only took one session then I got super busy and I didn’t have the chance to record it until a few months later. The music video of Mi Fanático that just got released was filmed last year, it was a long ride and it took longer than expected to release but I’m so happy it’s finally out!
DMR. If you were not a musician, what do you think you would have become?
TACEY. I would have kept dancing full time no doubt and if I wasn’t an artist at all I would have definitely been involved in the entertainment industry somehow. I would’ve probably pursued full time acting or become a director.
DMR. Is there any particular musician who has inspired you to embark on this journey?
TACEY. So many artists inspire me! A few of them are Ricky Martin, Jason Derulo, Jackson Wang, and Snow Tha Product.
DMR. You are a wonderful dancer as well as a singer. Is dancing another passion for you?
TACEY. I always say I’m a dancer first and I will always consider dance as my first passion and music followed along:)
DMR. If you could collaborate with any musician, dead or alive, who would it be?
TACEY. Oh there’s so many but Michael Jackson would have definitely been a dream to work with.
DMR. Any new plans for the future? When can we expect another banger from you?
TACEY. I’m definitely planning to do more live shows and release more music and musics videos. I also have many projects I can’t share just yet! And my next song? Well it’s coming soon and one thing I can say is that it’s different from everything that you have heard from me yet:)
