The South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment comprises members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. The group made their debut appearance in August 2016, with the release of their single album ‘Square One’, comprising songs like ‘Whistle’ which made it to number-one entries on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart, and ‘Boombayah’ which appeared on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
BTS
The abbreviation stands for Bangtan Sonyeondon (popularly known as Bangtan boys) and comprises members V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga. The group rose to international fame with their album ‘Wings’. BTS is considered the most successful band when it comes to selling in South Korean music history and has made immense contributions to the K-pop, hip-hop, R&B, and EDM genres. They were also awarded by their President for spreading the culture of the country overseas.

Though fans tend to weigh the two K-Pop groups against each other, several speculations have been made by netizens about the BTS and Blackpink friendship as photos from the recent Paris Fashion Week’s CELINE show surfaced, leading fans to believe that the two groups might be closer than people believe them to be.
One netizen also put up photos of BTS’s V and Blackpink’s Lisa interacting with each other during the CELINE show. Consecutively, several such “links” began to pop up as netizens posted throwback videos and pictures of different members from the two groups interacting with each other, including the recent concept photos for J-Hope’s solo album ‘Jack In The Box’ among which was a picture with a vinyl disc record that had the words “www.blackpink.com” written on the bottom.
