Music has been a part of human life. People love to listen to music because it motivates them, relaxes the mind, and inspires them to accomplish tasks. The article will read some of the uncommon and fun facts about music.


Music has ever been a part of mankind. Listening to music or singing is a passion for many. This is why music has so many genres. Some people even cannot perform their activities without music. Whether it is grocery, shopping, or gym, without music some people find it difficult to perform their daily tasks. It gives people the motivation to accomplish a task. In the Western World, music therapy is one of the most effective instruments to channel your energy and emotion to achieve perfection in activity and reduce anxiety and depression.

The article has gathered some uncommon and fun facts about everyone’s favorite form of art which is music.

1. Fender could not play the guitar:

When you hear the name, Fender, you immediately recognize him as the founder of the guitar. But, what if I say that the founder of the instrument, Leo Fender, actually never played the instrument? He did not even learn to play the guitar. Fender started his career by repairing phonographs, radios, and other electronics. In the 1940s, Fender started manufacturing guitars as a different type of instruments. Later in the 1950s, they launched the first mass-produced electric guitar.

2. Music synchs with your heartbeats:

Experts say that music is directly linked to the activities of the different parts of our body, especially the cardiovascular system. In research, it was found earlier that hearts respond differently to different beats and tempos of music. Moreover, the brain cells also respond to music quickly. It also shows how a distorted piece of music can increase heartbeats and increase blood pressure.

3. Eminem- Rap God:

A hit song by Eminem holds the world record for having the most number of words contained in a song. The song, ‘Rap God‘, holds 1560 words in the song. And he sang them at an average pace of 4.28 words each second. The song was released in the year 2013, in the month of October. It belonged to the album Marshal Matters.

                                 

4. British Rock Band Queen :

Once the band Queen rocked the stage and ruled people’s minds. But did you know that the band got commemorative in the year 1970? The band appeared in a 5 euro coin that was issued in January 2022. One of the most famous songs is still people’s favorite and has been a part of many sporting anthems. The song was made, remade, and remixed by many artists later. The record-selling of their songs and albums has made them one of the best music bands ever.

5. Singers have a shorter life span than others:

According to the study conducted by the University of Sydney, singers and musicians have a shorter life span than others. Although there is no practical reason behind it, they have found it from the number of suicides, homicides, and accidental deaths. The data was studied based on the sex of the musicians and the decade of their death.

6. Nicky Minaj was a waitress:

One of the most famous musicians of this era Nicky Minaj used to wait tables at Red Lobster in New York, before becoming a singer. In an interview, she even mentioned, “If you’ve eaten at Red Lobster, I probably took your order”. The success has been achieved through a great journey undertaken.

7. Some people are really insensitive to music:

A study conducted by the University at Barcelona showed that 5% of the total gathered people do not feel anything towards music. Although they can take pleasure from other things like food, sleep, travel, and others, they do not feel anything while listening to music. Moreover, these students were not found with any physical or mental disorders.

8. The world’s oldest song:

The Hurrian Hymn No.6 is considered the world’s oldest song. It was sung about more than 3400 years ago. The song is said to be a rhyme of an ancient goddess Nikkai. It was composed in the 14th century. The tunes of the song were discovered in clay tablets. It was excavated in the 1950s.

                                       

9. Finland has the world’s most Metal bands per capita:

A Reddit user created a map using the data of Encyclopedia Metallum’s archive of metal bands. He found in Finland, there are 53.5 bands in every 100,000 people in the country. The second spot is tied by two countries Norway and Sweden. Though heavy metal music was originated in the United Kingdom and the United States, their number limited to only 5.5 and 5.2 respectively.

Today it is hard to imagine a world without music. If music goes missing from the planet, humanity will see the worst catastrophe. It makes people feel differently- sometimes unique, sometimes motivated, energized, and inspired.
