Fans Criticized Management After Watching Akon’s Delhi Concert

Akon’s Delhi concert has been criticized severely by everyone, as everyone struggled with poor visibility. Audiences are asking for refunds after their poor experience.

The globally renowned rapper, Akon, came to Delhi, India, for his concert on 9th November. But the show didn’t go according to plan and became a huge storm of outrage on the internet. The show was about to be filled with high-energy performances and an occasion of being nostalgic for the audiences, but it wasn’t anything like that. However, it isn’t the fault of the rapper but the management. The concert took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, where everyone was waiting to listen to his old bangers like ‘Smack That’, ‘ChammakChallo’, and ‘Lonely’. But the audiences didn’t get to enjoy the show due to unorganized crowd management, sound issues, and poor visibility.

Audiences went to the show by spending thousands of rupees. And even after that, if they do not get to witness a clear show, then it is obvious that they will be frustrated. The show was scheduled to take place between 5 pm to 10 pm. But none of them got to enjoy all these hours while the rapper was performing. Audiences said that there were sound systems, trees, and a huge screen that obstructed the view. Many have also said they could only see him perform on the screen due to all the obstacles. It is a pure case of poor management, and only the audience had to suffer.

Right after the show, social media platforms were filled with criticism. One of the users on X has written ‘Hi District India, Akon I booked silver tickets at the Akon concert in Delhi happening today and I mean you can’t have trees and the sound system blocking my view? I’ve attended grub at the same place and that had a better experience for sure’. Right after that, one also stated, ‘Standing at Akon’s Delhi concert — front sections are 70 percent empty while people at the back are struggling to see anything. No clear signs, blocked view by screens, cameras and trees. Requesting Delhi district admin and event team to allow people to move front or issue refunds please’.

In addition to that, one also stated, ‘Hi there, we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We understand how this impacted your experience, and please be assured we’re continuously working with the event partners to address these concerns and improve future experiences for all attendees’. One also posted by saying ‘I booked silver tickets at the Akon concert in Delhi on 9th Nov, and I mean you can’t have trees and the sound system blocking my view? I have attended many concerts at the same location and never had such an experience’. From all these, it is quite obvious to understand how offended the audiences are right after watching the show. No action has been taken after that. However, Akon will continue his India tour by performing in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
