Billboard Women In Music award show took place on 2nd March 2022 in Los Angeles. The show hosted by Ciara was a grand celebration of the music contributed by all the women of the entertainment industry.

This show is basically to give honor all the female singers for their part in the industry.

It consists of brilliant performances by all the artists.

Ciara has kept everyone entertained in the show with her light-hearted jokes and her warm behavior, which was a treat to all the viewers and audiences. They also held a moment of silence for the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

From the legendary singers to the new additions to the industry, everyone took part in the award ceremony. From Phoebe Bridgers to Olivia Rodrigo everyone was present in the show.

The young artist Rodrigo took the center of the stage with her brilliant performance of ‘Deja Vu’. Her performance has stunned everyone. The intimate performance was assisted by an all-girl band. This song is a post-breakup anthem for everyone. The sweet and sultry performance was a pleasure to watch.

Rodrigo also received the honor of Woman of the Year. She is truly an inspiration for all the young generation as she is reaching out to them in a much relatable way.

In her praise, Sheryl Crow said ‘I was shooting pool with my 11-year-old last night, and he was singing ‘Good 4 U’ at the top of his lungs, and then he was singing ‘Drivers License’. She also said ‘So when I see someone like our Woman of the Year Olivia Rodrigo having such incredible success at such an early age, I am blown away’.

There was more to the show. Phoebe Bridgers thanked her mother for her contribution to her career. She said it is her mother who made what she is today.

Another artist Doja Cat received the Powerhouse Award for her enthusiastic performances and deliveries. Her contribution to modern music is exceptional.

Apart from that Bonnie Raitt received the Icon Award. Saweetie received the Game Changer award. Gabby Barrett received the Rising Star Award. H.E.R has been honored for the Impact Award.

Golnar Khosrowshahi, the CEO of Reservoir Media received her Executive of the Year award. After receiving it she said, ‘I encourage us all to continue to recruit, to mentor and cultivate the next generation of female leaders within our respective organizations so that one day, recognizing women in leadership roles will be the expectation and not a necessity’.
