The artist is being recognized for her talents as she was nominated for the Horizon Award at the International Sound & Film Music Festival (ISFMF) for her work in Unspoken Lines. This is a huge recognition for Lumi as ISFMF is known to be one of the biggest film festivals. The artist is nominated for her recent work in a no-dialogue short film, titled ‘Unspoken Lines’. She composed the entire score, which offered the voice for the narrative and emotions in the film.
Lumi is a highly talented music artist, and her attention to detail in each composition is what makes her stand out. According to the artist, she approached this project like a chamber of creativity, where she associated different musical instruments with each character of the movie. She utilized the flute for the feminine emotions, while the cello shared the poignancy of the artist. While the cello acts resentful, the flute establishes a connection, and both of them become one at some point through the depiction of the characters. For the movie score of ‘Unspoken Lines’, the artist also won the award for Best Music at the Top Indie Film Awards. ‘Vita Nova’, on the other hand, was nominated for Best Original Score at ISFMF and won Best Original Score at the Touchstone Independent Film Festival.Her creation ‘Garden of the Sky’ went for the official selection in multiple film and music awards including the International, Rome, and Munich Music Video Awards, as well as the Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival. The LA fest also featured her work, “The World People Eat People,” in 2021.
