It harmed his reputation as people started calling him a pervert and pedophile.
2. Rihanna assaulted by Chris Brown
This would probably be the most infamous scandal of the last decade. In 2009, Rihanna and her boyfriend Brown got involved in an altercation that turned into a physical one. Rihanna was seen with so many scars on her face. After that, Brown faced six months of probation. He turned himself in and decided to stay away from any public appearance. However, Brown could not repair his damaged reputation. Meanwhile, Rihanna became a superstar.
3. Madonna hurt Christianity with “Like a Prayer” music video
When Madonna released the music video ‘Like a Prayer’ in 1989, she became the reason for the outrage of some Christian groups. They felt the music video contained some blasphemous use of Christian symbols that could harm the Christian imagery. Meanwhile, Pope John Paul II involved himself and encouraged people to boycott all her performances.

The show revealed Ashlee Simpson when the artist was found lip-syncing rather than live performing on the stage. 6. R. Kelly is allegedly involved in sexual assault
In 2002, a video went public that showed the R&B singer R. Kelly urinating on an underage girl and forcing her to a sexual abuse. The Grammy winner, Kelly had been accused of multiple sexual assault from women. He had to suffer for several years. In 2008, he was found “not guilty” by Chicago Police.
7. Drake accused by Meek Mill of not writing lyrics.
Rappers Meek Mill and Drake created a controversy over a tweet in which Meek claimed that Drake does not write the lyrics of his songs. He uses a ghostwriter for writing his lyrics named, Quentin Miller. The tweet went viral and had been retweeted more than 130K. Miler denied the entire claim made by Meek despite his name appearing in many of Drake’s songs credits.
8. Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s on-stage scandal
Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake set the stage on fire during the Super Bowl XXXVIII Halftime Show. During the show, in 2004, Janet Jackson faced a wardrobe malfunction moment. Just near the end of their performance, Justin Timberlake exposed her breast to Janet just near the end of the concert. The event today is popular with the name ‘Nipplegate’ that prompted more than half a million viewers to file a case against the Federal Communications Commission with a fine of 550,000 USD.
9. Beyoncé lip-syncs at Obama’s inauguration
Beyoncé’s performance at the inauguration of the former president of the USA, Barack Obama faced a lot of criticism when the spokesperson of the Marine Corps Band admitted that she sang the song with a pre-recorded song by her. Later Beyoncé came up with a statement, “…I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common.”
10. Miley Cyrus twerks on Robin Thicke
Miley Cyrus set fire on the stage by twerking on her co-performer Robin Thicke at MTV Video Music Awards 2013. During Thicke’s song, ‘Blurred Lines’ Cyrus twerked on him and the performance turned a little racy thereafter. It caused both of them immense criticism from the audiences.
