The popularity momentum of V is unchangeable. His OSTs like ‘Our Beloved Drama’, ‘Christmas Tree’, and others have also led him to the highest peak of his career. The popularity of V is not limited only to his solo records. He is also known for his looks that has been adored by fans from different parts of the world. His two more OSTs from ‘Goblin’ or ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ ‘Stay With Me’ by Chanyeol and Punch, and ‘Beautiful’ by Crush achieved the second and third spot respectively.
If the data of his social media followers are put together, then V has more than 47.4 million followers on Instagram. His Instagram fan following is growing faster than BTS’ Instagram followers. The reasons are vivid and clear. And it is the highest among all the BTS members.

The latest solo releases of Jung Kook are My You and Stay Alive. The songs were well-appreciated by the fans of BTS and K-pop music lovers. If the social media followers of Jung Kook are considered, the BTS member has more than 43 million followers on Instagram. His popularity on Instagram speaks the story that he is a little behind the most popular celebrity of BTS, V. However, it is not the complete story, as Jung Kook is ahead of V in many other aspects.
The comparison is made based on the social media followers, record-breaking solo releases and popularity on different social media platforms. It no way that judges the better performer between the two. Declaring one of the two as the most popular BTS member is dilemmatic and troublesome as it can hurt the feelings of their respective fans. But, Jung Kook seems to be a little ahead of V if we leave the Instagram followings of the two members.
