A riveting performance has been executed by the singer par excellence Amanda who has dished out a top-notch rendition. She has come up with the enrapturing number ‘Electric’ that has vibes of alternative pop and R&B. The song has got a feel of the electro-music from the 80s.

The singer based out of the UK has performed alongside remarkable artistes like and The Hoosiers, McFly, The Sugababes, Boyzone and Westlife in various events and festivals. She has come up with other popular numbers like ‘Make You Wanna’, ‘Pretender’, ‘Good-Bye’, and ‘Time’.

We got an opportunity to have a candid conversation with the gifted singer and asked some pertinent questions related to her profession. She was gracious enough to give us the leeway as we thank her for her sweet gesture. Let us just catch up with the young music sensation and fire in a few of those queries.

1. Who has been the greatest influence in your life to take up music as a career?
I was brought up in a household there was always so much music playing. Funnily enough I actually learned to read using Karaoke videos! My dad owns a public address company and provides sound for events around the UK. So he would set me up with a microphone when I was around 3 or 4 years old and I’d have a blast just singing all day long and making up lyrics when I didn’t really know the real ones! My parents are both huge music fans and have both really had a huge influence on my music.

2. What is your favourite genre among R&B, electro music, and alternative pop?
That’s such a hard question! Honestly my taste in music varies so much, I really don’t have a favorite, I find that I swing in and out of all genres depending on my mood!

3. Who has been your icon while you are growing up as a child?
I’ve always been a huge fan of Whitney, vocally she was just flawless.

4. If you can go back in time, which icon you want to meet and why?
Hmmm, I think it’s Whitney again! I could just sit in a room with her and listen to her voice all day!

5. Which city in the planet excites you the most as far as live performance is concerned?
A bucket list of mine was definitely Wembley. I was lucky enough to mark that one in the books!

6. Are you happy with the way the music industry functions or do you suggest any changes for the betterment?
I think that there is definitely room for the music creators/writers to be compensated much more fairly in the current streaming landscape. They are really the people who we have to thank for all of the music we consume and aren’t treated as such right now.

7. Is there a chink in the armour for you that you want to change or you are happy with your vulnerabilities?
I used to be afraid to show my vulnerabilities but over the past few years I’ve grown to be more comfortable in them and become more open about them. Music is really my release for that!

8. Is there anything from the past that you want to change given a chance?
That’s something I’ve really been trying to work on personally! I think it can be dangerous to focus on the past too much, it becomes consuming and you lose sight of where you’re supposed to be heading. So for me personally, i’ve really just been focusing on setting goals for the future.

9. Does the recent Covid-19 pandemic affect you as a person or your creative instincts?
It definitely has affected all of us in some way, shape or form. This new normal is definitely taking some work adjusting to! Creatively I’d say that I’ve probably been more creative on lockdown. I’m no longer rushing from one place to the next so I have more time to reflect which is always a good headspace for creativity!

10. Do you get the adrenalin rush before every performance and how do you use that to your benefit?
Oh absolutely! I love it though. There is nothing like that anticipation and then the rush that follows is indescribable!

11. Any iconic performance that you remember that has left an indelible impression on you?
I think one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever seen was Coldplay. Their show is absolutely incredible and just blew me away.
