One such talented rapper and songwriter Lil Squid has already started making a powerful name in the music industry with his brilliant creations. He has recently announced that he will be releasing a brand-new album in February 2022. His hottest track so far, ‘Atl Anthem’ might also be part of the new album. A sneak peek of one of the album’s tracks, ‘What You Saying’ is also released already. Recently, our team sat with the newest superstar of hip hop to talk about his new album, where he answered the questions fans are dying to know.
Hello Lil Squid! Best wishes for your upcoming album. Hopefully, it will do as great as your previous works. Thank you for doing this interview with us. Let’s start the interview:
DMR: First of all, happy new year! Tell us a few things about you and your music. How important is it to you?
Lil Squid: My music is everything, sometimes I’m expressing myself and at other times I’m just popping my shit.
DMR: Where are you from and how does it impact your music and musical pattern?
Lil Squid: I’m from Atlanta, GA; Atlanta is the Mecca of the South and the Hub of Hip-Hop and Rap. Because of that I must produce nothing but hits, nothing less.
DMR: So, what is the name of your upcoming album and how many tracks will it contain?
Lil Squid: The album is called, Pivot. Most likely, I’ll have about 12 tracks on it.
DMR: Is your most popular track, ‘Atl Anthem’ going to be a part of the album? The fans are dying to know.
Lil Squid: Yes, Atl Anthem is included in the album.
DMR: What type of rhyming and rhythmic style have you used in the new album?
Lil Squid: I’ve picked up the tempo and focus on having fun as I’ll rap – lil shit popping.
DMR: What will be the subject matter of the tracks? What message are you trying to convey through them?
Lil Squid: This album has some tracks for the ladies and some for the guys. Regardless, all the tracks and songs to dance and have fun with. The fans will enjoy it.
DMR: Will the upcoming hip-hop album feature other artists? If yes, then who?
Lil Squid: No, I’m riding these beats solo.
DMR: How did you can into the music industry? Who inspired you to make hip-hop music?
Lil Squid: As a child, my dad was a lover of Tupac, Michael Jackson and adopted that same love for Rap and great music as a child as an adult that love has manifested in the recording studio.
DMR: Are you working independently or with some record label?
Lil Squid: I’m riding independently on my own label.
DMR: On which platforms the album will be available?
Lil Squid: I plan to hit the road this year with festivals and concerts depending on the pandemic.
DMR: What are your plans for the future? Will you be doing any stage shows?
Lil Squid: The albums will be available on all digital music platforms Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and Audiomack etc.
DMR: Do you have any new year messages for your fans?
Lil Squid: Yes! Stay tuned and continue to rock with Lil Squid. I appreciate your love for good sounding Rap; and will be planning to do some festivals and shows.
