The Song ‘Bond Street’ by Matry Is One of the Most Refreshing Hip-Hop Performances So Far

Matry has given his fans some of the ever-cherishing hip-hop performances. The song ‘Bond Street’ has a very positive driving force coupled with the energized vocals creating a different realm of music around. The song has been enriched by the enthralling capacity of him dealing with techno beats with a bit retro in nature. So, let’s hear from the artist what he has to say about this song.

Matry

1. Congratulation Matry for all your achievements. We all appreciate what you have done for the music world. And the song ‘Bond Street’ is one of your best performances by far. So, how are you feeling, now?

A. I’m feeling good thanks.

2. What does encourage you to make such amazing songs?

A.My family inspires me to make music. And my love for the music.

3. As we have seen you singing songs from a wide range of genres. So, what do you like to sing the most and why?

A. Yes I would like to consider myself as versatile. I can’t say what I like to rap on the most I guess it depends on the beat.

4. Who is your inspiration in music? Do you follow or admire anyone from today’s music world?

A. Jay Z and Drake are 2 favourites of mine. I admire Jay Z for his share determination and business grit and Drake I mean what more can I say he just knows how to make a great song. Can’t forget Mary J Blige she’s.one of my favourite rnb vocalists for sure.

5. As people know very little about you, do you want to share any interesting incidents about your music career so far?

A. This may sound a bit silly but I think by me now wearing a balaclava has made me more endearing to my fans. I really don’t get it but I see it like the movie the mask when the main character wears the mask he’s blessed with powers and able to do amazing things.

6. What do you think about today’s music industry? (A good side and a bad side)

A. The good side to it is  there’s a lot more opportunity for the independent artist to succeed with the internet and the technology available today. The bad side is labels are spending less on artist development and are more interested in the numbers.

7. You have a very intricate connection with hip-hop music. How do you envision the future of the hip-hop genre?

A. I think hip hop is quite a broad genre. People says there’s no good hip hop out there anymore but it’s there you just have to look. I think great music is always being created this is good for the future I think.

8. A bit personal question to ask: How was your childhood and what drove you to music?

A. I grew up in a single parent household with my 3 brothers and sister. Having my mother raise us without the full support of my father was hard but all in all I would say my upbringing was good and normal. Some would say I hung with the wrong crowd and got involved in some things that were not so good. But as I’ve grown older I’ve learnt to surround myself with good people who inspire and want the best for me.

9. What kind of songs do you like to perform the most?

A. I like the energy when performing a drill song but the groove on a Afro beat or rnb song is incredible to perform.

10. What’s next from Matry?

A. I want to get a few more singles out this year and release my album and start touring.

11. Do you want to advise anything to the budding music artists?

A. My advice would be keep working, learn from your mistakes and never give up.

12. Do you want to share anything with the readers of the magazine?

A. Yes follow me @officialmatry to whoever’s reading this may all your dreams come true. Love and respect.
