Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash are About to Release Their Wildlife Conservation Album

The renowned sarod geniuses, Ayaan Ali Bangash and Amaan Ali Bangash is coming up with their musical creations for environmental activism. They are going to release their album, ‘Celebrating Our Tigers’, to take a step forward for environmental activism. It is an album with seven soundtracks that are dedicated to population and conservation efforts for India’s wild tiger. This innovative initiative has gotten huge exposure within a brief time.

They came up with the announcement right after the brother duo was appointed as the Goodwill Ambassadors for WWF-India. It is a conservation organization, which was established in the year 169. These sons of the legendary music artist, Amjad Ali Khan, have done many high-profile collaborations. They have also worked on Gorillaz’ ninth studio album, named ‘The Mountain’. Along with that, their Grammy-winning creation ‘Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’ is also a globally renowned work.

This duo has also taken the spotlight with their performance at the British pop artist Yungblud’s Lollapalooza India. This specific creation has helped them to bring wildlife preservation to the center stage. Regarding this particular creation, Amaan Ali Bangash has stated ‘Through ‘Celebrating Our Tigers’, we wanted to create more than just music. We aimed to craft an immersive experience that echoes the raw beauty and majesty of India’s wilderness’.

He has even added, ‘Every note is a tribute to the resilience of these magnificent creatures and to the tireless efforts of those who protect them. We hope this album deepens listeners’ connection with nature and inspires a renewed commitment to preserving our planet’s biodiversity’. With this album, they have traced the sonic path of the seven premier tiger habitats in India, which are, Bandhavgarh, the historic home of the famed tiger Charger, Jim Corbett National Park, the very first national park of the country, Ranthambore’s fort-dotted terrain, Pench’s teak forest, which inspired ‘The Jungle Book; by Rudyard Kipling, Sundarbans mangrove ecosystem, Kabini’s misty backwaters, and Kaziranga’s biodiverse Brahmaputra River region.

This project is an exceptional creation that is going to be a great musical work. The visual work of this project has been done by photographers like Shivang Mehta (Bandhavgarh), Karam Srivastava (Jim Corbett), Kalyan Varma (Ranthambore), Vikramjit Singh Bal and Rakesh Rana (Kaziranga), WWF-India (Kaziranga), Felis Creations (Kabini), alongside contributions from Anand Bazaar Patrika (Sundarbans).

The sarod maestro, Ayaan Ali Bangash, has stated that it is ‘an incredibly moving journey, allowing us to explore the sonic landscapes of India’s tiger reserves. Collaborating with WWF-India and witnessing conservation successes firsthand has been deeply inspiring. Music has the power to communicate emotion and stories beyond words, and with ‘Celebrating Our Tigers’, we invite listeners to celebrate this conservation triumph and reflect on our shared responsibility to protect these iconic animals for generations to come’.

The program director at the WWF-India, Sejal Worah, has also said ‘We are delighted to welcome Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash as WWF-India Goodwill Ambassadors. Their album, ‘Celebrating Our Tigers’ beautifully blends music and nature, drawing attention to the majesty of India’s tigers and the landscapes they inhabit. Many of these landscapes face ongoing threats, and WWF-India’s work to conserve these critical ecosystems and the wildlife within them will receive an added boost through the awareness created by this album.
