American Artist Doja Cat Drops the Music Video For ‘Vegas’ Before the Release of The Film ‘Elvis’

Grammy Award-winning rapper Doja Cat has just released the music videos of her single, ‘Vegas’ on June 3rd, 2022. The gifted artist has created a massive ripple in the contemporary music industry and among the fans with the flashy music video.

The song ‘Vegas’ is going to be featured in the upcoming Elvis Presley biopic, ‘Elvis’ that will be released worldwide on June 24th this year. Produced by yeti Beats and Rogét Chahayed, the song throws in a sample of the 1952 song, ‘Hound Dog’ by Big Mama Thornton, which was covered by Presley himself. The upcoming movie is going to feature songs from many other artists such as Eminem, Jack White, Gary Clark Jr., CeeLo Green, Tame Impala, Stevie Nicks, Kacey Musgrave, Jazmine Sullivan, Maneskin, and many more.

Doja Cat first introduced the song during her latest Coachella performance in April. She even brought gospel singer Shonka Dukureh on the stage who plays the role of Thornton in the film.

The upcoming Elvis Presley biopic is going to star Austin Butler in the lead role. The film will depict the life and music of The King, Elvis Presley, presented through the prism of his dynamic relationship with his manager.

American rapper and singer Post Malone dropped his fourth studio album, ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’ on June 3rd this year through Mercury Records and Republic Records. The album contains 14 incredible lyrical ballads with guest appearances from Doja Cat on ‘I Like You (A Happier Song)’, The Weeknd on ‘One Right Now’, Gunna on ‘I Cannot Be (A Sadder Song)’, The Kid Laroi ‘Wasting Angels’, Roddy Ricch on ‘Cooped Up’, and Fleet Foxes on ‘Love/ Hate Letter to Alcohol’.

The album is a follow-up of his 2019 hit, ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’. Post Malone talked about the album in detail in his interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music on May 12th. He said ‘But every song in there tells a story, so this is kind of like, ‘Here’s the life that we live, but there’s always something going on in the background.’’ He explores the duality of everything in life in the album. In the interview, he said this is his favorite album to date. According to him, in the beginning, when they started working on the album was quite rough. But he realized what he liked to do, who he was, and what made him happy. He followed his heart in making the album.

Tame Impala Fires Up the Stage by Doing a Cover of The Strokes’ 2001 Hit Song, ‘Last Nite’

Tame Impala once again made the headlines by performing a cover of The Stroke’s hit single from 2001, ‘Last Nite’ at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. They were supposed to perform at the festival before but they had to cancel after a band member tested positive for Covid-19.

The cover was the first song of the event on Thursday night. It was the first time Tame Impala has performed the track. Kevin Parker, the frontman of the band said that they performed the song just for the audience and it was probably the last time they sang it.

The strokes also withdrew from the festival in March due to Illness. The band also canceled their performance at Boston Calling due to a positive Covid-19 case in their team and Nine Inch Nails will be replacing them at the festival.

Earlier this year Lorde also covered a hit The Strokes song, ‘The End Has No End’ from their 2003 album, ‘Room On Fire’ while performing in the New York City.
