A huge sensation has taken place in the music industry as Britney Spears sold rights to her music catalog. This news has been announced by TMZ, and since then, a buzz has been on the internet. As of now, it is not known the sale of her music rights and for how much it was sold. Britney and the music publishing company, Primary Wave, have come together for this deal.
Previously, it has been seen that it was Primary Wave who has been working for two decades for music rights. They have worked with musicians like Smokey Robinson, Bob Marley, James Brown, Whitney Houston, Stevie Nicks, and more. In the year 2020, Stevie sold her music rights to Primary Wave for a total of $100 million.

In the whole career span, Britney Spears has released a total of nine studio albums. She made her debut in the year 1999. She has been one of the bestselling female music artists in the industry. It can be said that she has enhanced the pop music industry with her creations. She has continuously worked as a musician for nearly two decades. However, the personal struggle regarding publicizing the songs has always been there.

It also came to see that she has spent about 14 years under conservatorship, which required paying attorneys to fulfill the essentials and manage her life. In addition to that, it also disrupted her ability to make decisions regarding her career, personal affairs, and finances. Later in 2021, the judge terminated the legal arrangement as well. After that, Britney recounted the conservatorship to shape his life. In 2023, she gave a memoir, named ‘The Woman in Me’. She even said ‘stripped me of my womanhood [and] made me into a child’.
However, finally, she has sold the rights to her music to Primary Wave. However, she didn’t make any comment to the public regarding the music rights. Her fans are expecting that later she will make the announcement. Previously, Britney once said that she had no plan to come to the music industry or perform in the United States. It can be said that if she plans to return to the industry, she will definitely make an announcement. As of now, she has sold the rights and is not making any new music.
