Charlie Puth Did the National Anthem Performance at Super Bowl 2026

Charlie Puth performed at the 2026 Super Bowl on 8^th February, and the NFL said he should be a bigger artist. He was seen performing the national anthem at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. On that day, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots played against each other. And it was quite an anticipated match.

At the Super Bowl, Charlie was seen in a brown leather jacket as he came forward and stood in front of the keyboard to give his performance. After that, he launched his special arrangement, ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’. It was quite a spectacular moment when he came for the performance. The camera also showed all the players from both side watched him perform on the stage right before the match started. It can be said that the singer started the year with a great and prestigious note.

It also came to see that for the opening festival, Coco Jones and Brandi Carlie joined him to sing ‘America the Beautiful’. It was quite an astonishing view for all the onlookers. It can be said that 2026 is truly special for Charlie Puth. Taylor Swift even gave him a shoutout on her album, named ‘Tortured Poets’. Along with that, he has been praised for his Grammy nominations, too.

However, when his name was announced as the national anthem performer for the Super Bowl, many sports fans were a little sceptical. Many didn’t expect him to perform at such a place other than in concerts. One of the social media users also stated ‘Man we’ve fallen from when Whitney Houston sang at the Super Bowl. Charlie Puth? He’s not gonna give us vocals I’m afraid’.

For such comments on social media, Puth even said, ‘I’ll never claim to be as good of a singer as Whitney Houston ever was. But I assure you we’re putting a really special arrangement together—in D major. It’ll be one of my best vocal performances’.

He too was a little afraid about the performance and wanted to hit all the right notes, as it is like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Puth even shared a promo video where he said, ‘Did you know that one of the most beautiful pieces of music also happens to be one of the hardest to sing?’ He even added ‘Ah, yes ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is a piece of music that has extreme vocal range’.

He continued by saying, ‘Most hard-to-sing songs span just one octave range, like a low D to a high D. But ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ goes from a low D to a high D plus five more notes, all the way up to a very high A’. The performance finally took place on 8^th February, and it can definitely be said that Puth did really well and he once again proved what a phenomenal artist he is.
