Mexican singer and actress Danna Paola releases her sixth studio album with an exciting video clip titled ‘Calla Tú’. To keep up with the trend, the singer dropped the single days ahead of the album release. The title means You Shut Up and holds a strong message for all the women out there. The video has been directed by the singer herself ad shows the singer dressed in a nude outfit that has several derogatory words imprinted on it. Words that are most commonly used to insult women and bring them down have been written in Italian font.
‘Calla Tú’ is perhaps her boldest and most powerful composition to date. Borrowing influence from domestic violence and the women who have faced mistreatment, the singer has spoken about ending an abusive relationship where the other partner doesn’t feed any good. It’s about tearing apart from a relationship that serves no good and she tells the man she’s not waiting for him any longer to change. She’s done with the hypocrisy and tells him most certainly that she won’t keep quiet anymore, You Shut Up.
While talking about the song, Danna Paola has revealed some personal details straight out of her life where she has precisely lived through all such instances. She also spoke about why the red color dominates the scene. The message is of great power, of strength, peace, and love, and well, what better than a dash of red to symbolize the concept. And, the color black highlights the dark side of the song.
