The sudden death of the very important band member of FOO Fighters has made them cancel all upcoming shows and tours. His death is unexpected and unbelievable for the members and their fans.
The multi-platinum rock music band Foo Fighters has terminated all their upcoming tours after the death of their band member, drummer Taylor Hawkins.
The band, in a brief statement sent to NPR on Tuesday, said, “It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins”.
Apologizing to their fans the group members said, “We’re sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won’t be seeing one another as planned. Instead, let’s take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we’ve made together. With Love, Foo Fighters.”
The music band also is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards this Sunday. In the Awards, they have been nominated in three categories. So, there is a possibility that they would not perform at the show. They have not said anything about this though.
Taylor Hawkins has been a very important part of the group since 1997. Over 2decades, they have given some of the best songs together. Before his joining, he was a drummer for Alanis Morissette.
During Hawkins’ time with Foo Fighters, the music band won 12 Grammy awards and other prestigious awards and scored 4 number one songs on the Billboard charts.
Hawkins was found unresponsive in his hotel room, just a few hours before their show is scheduled in Bogota, Colombia. Taylor Hawkins reportedly had chest pains before going alone to his hotel room. The medical authorities from Colombia stated that he had been suffering from an enlarged heart muscle. This possibly led to cardiac arrest.
The sudden death of their band member is shocking for the members. Fans have shown their love and tribute for his unforgettable contribution to music.
