It was a magnificent performance by Demi Lovato who took to the stage in front of empty stands for the Save Our Stage Fest (SOSFest). She was ably supported by the likes of Marshmello and dished out the track ‘OK Not to be Ok’. They also had others like YG and Finneas as they performed in Troubadour. It was the first day of the fest and it is a three-day-long virtual event that is going to support the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA). With the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, there was an urgent situation that is faced by independent music venues.

Both Lovato and Marshmello discussed the problem before performing. Marshmello even raised concerns that almost ninety percent of those venues are going to shut down in the coming three months. It was a fundraiser performance where a 20-minute set is played by rapper YG that was based on the LP titled ‘My Life 4Hunnid’ and was recently released. An eight-song set was performed by Finneas and it came along with a live debut of his latest track ‘What They’ll Say About Us’ and it was a tribute to Nick Cordero and his family who died because of Covid-19 complications.

It has also been said by Demi Lovato that she watched and found music played at various independent stages. She saw one happening at the Door in Dallas where Paramore was performing. She felt that her artistry has grown on seeing all these happening. The SOSFest is all set to come up with the performance by Phoebe Bridgers and Foo Fighters at the Troubadour. Various other performances are lined up by G-Eazy, the Bay Area rapper, and also Seattle rapper Macklemore.

It is going to be followed by sizzling performances by Brittany Howard and Miley Cyrus and has created mouthwatering prospects for the fans with the entire rundown. Christine Karayan, who is the owner of the very famous Troubadour in Los Angeles spoke about the uncertainties that have experienced by them and it was despairing and unnerving, to say the least about it. But with the support of the music community and the fans, things are looking hopeful.
