The ‘West End Girl’ tour by Lily Allen’s was one of the most exciting pop shows. Previously, at the beginning of this year, she played at the U.S. theaters. However, there were a few questions regarding whether this artist would get the chance to do her one-woman shows in big venues or not. However, after some time, it was confirmed that the British singer is preparing for a tour focusing on performances in arenas only.

But now the North American fans will not even get the chance to get an answer to the question, as Allen is canceling most of the arena shows for theaters and amphitheater shows. This new change has created a massive buzz among all. As of now, the opening night of the show at Madison Square Garden on 3rd September is still happening. The artist hasn’t cancelled the show yet.

However, she has canceled her shows in arenas like Chicago’s United Center, Los Angeles’ Forum, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, San Francisco’s Chase Center, Montreal’s Bell Centre, and Philadelphia’s Xfinity Mobile Arena. On Monday, Allen made this announcement, and it truly broke the hearts of her fans. She even mentioned that all the ticketholders will get their refund automatically within 5-7 days.

Currently, Allen and Live Nation are preparing for the show in medium-sized venues. She even stated that all those ticketholders who are getting their money refunded will be preregistered for the new shows. If they want to register themselves for the new shows, they can do that without much hassle. Among the six cities, she is coming with the new shows in five cities. She only canceled the Montreal concert without giving any alternative venues. In addition to that, she has added a venue that wasn’t there before: Seattle. Allen will perform at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre on 24th July.

While making the announcement, the artist spoke in terms like ‘adjustments’ instead of ‘cancellations’. She also didn’t refer to the fact of weak sales in her post. On a social media platform, she wrote, ‘We have a few updates since we first announced this leg of the tour earlier in the year. I am SO excited to say we are now coming to Seattle, tickets on sale July 24, 1o a.m. local’.

Allen also added, ‘For Philly, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Vancouver, we’ve had to make some adjustments. If you’ve already bought tickets to these shows, you will be refunded in 5-7 working days and automatically entered into a presale that goes live July 22, 10 a.m. local. General on sale will go live July 24, 10 a.m. local. Montreal, I am so sad to say we tried our hardest but will not be able to make it to you this time. NY, Boston, Toronto, Detroit, Minneapolis, Red Rocks (in Colorado) — you are staying as is. Tickets on sale now. :))’.
