Summer Electronic Music Rooftop Nights initiated by New York’s Metropolitan Museum

Celebrated performers like Liondub, Kristine Barilli, the Uklon collective, and Vivian Wang are to perform in this two-month-long ‘Sun Set’ series.

From the 1st of July, The Metropolitan Museum has launched the ‘Sun Set’ series of electronic music. Every weekend on Sundays and Saturdays, electronic music evenings are to be hosted. And the events will conclude on the 3rd of September.

These electronic music evenings will showcase the talents from every corner of the US. You will get to witness the best DJs and their best acts seen in New York. Apart from that, you will get to witness musicians like Liondub, Kristine Barilli, the Uklon collective, and Vivian Wang separately on various evenings.

The events will take place in The Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Every Saturday and Sunday from 5.30 pm onwards the performances will start and the show will come to an end at 8.30 pm. Though, it may get canceled if the weather doesn’t permit it.

This supreme summer event series will feature acts that value “freedom, inclusivity, and the creativity of electronic music culture.” Today on 9th July you will be witnessing the NYC label owner Liondub. His musical fusions of reggae, dancehall, and hip-hop have a huge fan base, and his channelizing energetic diction has been appreciated by a lot of music admirers.

On the 29th of July Vivian Wang is expected to perform, and you will get the chance to witness the prolific artist is going to offer a transition from Detroit into house and techno records. And on the 3rd of September Brooklyn-based twin sisters, Analog Soul will deliver their combination of house, techno, and various other genres.

Metropolitan Museum has launched the ‘Sun Set’

This is the ‘Date Night at The Met’ period, and the museum will be opened for that until 9 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. This series is excepting as well as offering attendees to grab this opportunity and witness the vibes of electronic music evenings. An official of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Max Hollein said, “Our Sun Sets series is a celebration of New York’s dynamic and legendary music scene.”

He added further, “We’re thrilled to welcome this phenomenal group of electronic artists to the Cantor Roof Garden this summer and for all to enjoy the energy and music while taking in the stunning views of Central Park and the city skyline.”
