DJ Khaled dropped a music video for the song ‘POPSTAR’ featuring Drake on Friday midnight after teasing fans with short video clippings of the video for the past week on his social media platforms. The official music video features Justin Bieber and has already crossed four hundred thousand views on YouTube since its release. The highly anticipated soundtrack has topped the chart of Apple Music after being released just yesterday. This is not the first song that the singer and producer duo has come up with and have graced the fans with hugely entertaining numbers like ‘I’m on One’, ‘To the Max’, ‘For Free’, and a few more before.
The track kicks off with DJ Khaled persistently pursuing Drake for a music video for their the song and the later expressed his disappointment as can’t leave the country and finally coming up with the idea of casting Bieber to star in the video and lip sync on his behalf. Drake’s rhyming dexterity coming out of Bieber’s mouth makes the song much more entertaining and humorous incorporated with the hard-hitting rhythmic cadence. The picturization of the music video is brilliant showcasing stunning visuals and a dashing looking Bieber which takes the whole aesthetic of the production to its dynamic height.
DJ Khaled has also dropped another track called ‘Greece’ a month before the official music video of ‘POPSTAR’ collaborating with Drake. He also revealed that his upcoming studio album will be titled as Khaled Khaled, which is the follow-up of his previous album Father Of Asahd released in May 2019 and will feature both of the above-mentioned songs. Drake had posted about the release of the music video on his Social media. The song is bound to make a lingering impact on the followers of both artists. The MV features cameos from Scooter Braun, Hailey Bieber, and many more. DJ Khaled is reported to collaborate with Megan Thee Stallion very soon.
