An official music video is uploaded almost half a decade after the release of the song ‘My Sweet Lord’ by George Harrison.

51 years after the release of the making and releasing of the get helps from many of Harrison’s friends, including ex Beatle star, the eagles’ Jeff Lynne and Joe Walsh. Both played with Harrison in the Traveling Wilburys. Harrison’s wife Olivia, and son Dhani who have produced the video also played cameos in it.

The video has starred so many A-list artists, almost everyone. It stars Tim Heidecker, Paul Scheer, Vanessa Bayer, Mark Hamill, Patton Oswalt, Moshe Kasher, Natasha Leggero, and Taika Waititi. Even Junie Stoddard, Sparrow Suter, Marli Lopez Eckert, Brett Metter, David Gborie, Sam Richardson, Brandon Wardell, Anders Holma, and Atsuko Okatsuka also make appearances.

Moreover, Mitra Jouhari, Sandy Honig, Aimee Mullins, Courtney Pauroso, Rupert Friend, Angus Sampson, Eric Wareheim, Kate Micucci, Natalie Palamides, Shepard Fairey, Claudia O’Doherty, and Sarah Baker are the ones who played a cameo in it.

In the music video, Mark Hamil plays the role of a head of a detective agency, and he deploys Baker and Armisen to track something. Armisen and Bayer stop their search after searching the star-studded last book store in Los Angeles. At the end, they turn on the radio and come to hear the opening of the song ‘My Sweet Lord

A statement of the director Lance Bangs of the music video goes that this video is meant to “represent the song visually while these agents and inspectors kept missing the metaphysical wonder around them.” The director further added, “It felt like a warm step out into overlapping friendships after an unexpected hibernation”

He also mentioned in the statement “George seemed to draw interesting musicians, comedians, and personalities into his world, and that spirit felt like it was happening around us throughout the shoot.”

The original song ‘My Sweet Lord’, finally appeared in the 1970s solo album of George Harrison ‘All Things Must Pass’, and became the no1 hit album in the United States and the United Kingdom. The appearance of the ex Beatle member in the video has attracted people’s attention. Harrison and the Beatles recently resurfaced with the release of ‘Get Back’ of the docu-series of Peter Jackson on Disney Plus.

The 50th-anniversary uber-deluxe edition also received a nomination for Grammy Awards in the category of best boxed or special limited edition package, set to be held on 31st January.
