Gorillaz has made an announcement of releasing a brand-new single, ‘Cracker Island’ on social media on June 8th. The experimental animated band posted a short clip featuring all the cartoon band members 2D, Russel, Murdoc Niccals, and Noodle. They captioned the video, ‘Cracker Island is coming…’ with the hashtag #thelastcult.

After that, they also posted two photos. While one featured 2D, the second one featured the whole group with the caption, ‘2D is the chosen one…’

The band has not disclosed when the new single will be released. They have provided a pre-save link for the single on their social media. The band has already performed the track on their current live tour and they included guest vocals from Thundercat. It is still unclear whether he will join them on the studio mix.

The single, ‘Cracker Island’ will be the first release of Gorillaz this year after their last release, ‘Meanwhile’ EP in 2021. The band’s last studio album, ‘Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez’ was released in 2020 and it received a four-star review in NME magazine.

Migos cancels performance at Governors Ball and Lil Wayne is his replacement

Migos will no longer be performing at the 2022 Governors Ball festival and the fans are more than sure of the rumors that the trio will soon disband.

The New York City festival is supposed to be held this weekend, from June 10th to June 12th. The organizers of the festival have tweeted that Migos have pulled out of the concert due to some ‘circumstances out of (their) control.’ The music group has still not made any comment on the matter.

It was later announced that Lil Wayne will be replacing Migos who was supposed to perform on the evening of Friday, June 10th. He will perform along with other artists like Jack Harlow, Flume, J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Roddy Ricch, Playboi Carti, Black Pumas, and Glass Animals.

The rumor that Migos is breaking up began last month after Takeoff and Quavo released their project, ‘Unc And Phew’. After they dropped their debut single, ‘Hotel Lobby’, bandmate Offset and his wife Cardi B unfollowed both Quavo and Takeoff on social media.

Migos performed at various events in Miami and Cleveland earlier this year.

The movie will be produced through Amy Pascal and it was co-written by Erin Cressida Wilson who has written Secretary.

Garner has already grabbed two Emmys for her role in the crime drama ‘Ozark’ on Netflix. She has also earned great appreciation for her role in the latest Shonda Rhimes’ series ‘Inventing Anna’ on Netflix.
