Pop singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams is currently creating a huge anticipation among the fans by teasing her upcoming album project ‘Daughter From Hell’. She has dropped some voice notes that share the essence of the album along with some alternative tunes.

Fans are really looking forward to this album, which is her first full-length album release since her last studio album ‘The Secret of Us’, which was released in 2023 and ranked at no.2 on the Billboard 200 chart for albums. The upcoming third studio album has already gained much attention with the initial single releases like “Hit the Wall” and “Look at My Life”, currently revolving at the center of everyone’s attention. The song “Hit the Wall” has made its place at no.40 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The rest of the 16 tracks from the album are yet to be released, and they will come out with the release of the entire collection.

Creating more buzz for the release week, Abrams decided to host a free show at the Bowery Ballroom, which is situated in Lower Manhattan. The show took place on July 14, and only a few hundred lucky fans with Capital One cards could participate in it to listen to a fresh new collection live for the first time before the release. But the show did not only feature songs from the upcoming album, as she also performed a handful of fan favorite tracks.

Abrams performed 6 new songs from the album, including ‘Imaginary Friend,’ which holds a lot of value for the artists as it was co-written by his boyfriend and Irish actor Paul Mescal. In the backstage, she also exclusively shared some snippets from two of her other songs. She also talked about producer Aaron Dessner and how they became a part of ‘Voice Memo Demo’, a short-form series by Billboard originals.

She scrolled through her phone to find the voice memos that helped her create this album, and she eventually found “verse-melody-pass,” which has now become track 8 on the album project, titled ‘Sober.’ In the recording, Abrams could be found humming a soft melody a cappella, which was inspired by the Dessners’ instrumentals. She also expressed, “That melody isn’t even in the song anymore,” and that shows how much experimentation and grinding go into the creative process to create an album project.

She said, “Anyway, I love this song,” and further added, “It’s a song about in time, or in another life — this yearning quality. I thought about the girls who might dig a yearn.” With a relatable, emotive subject matter, Abrams is looking forward to captivating her fans again with a fresh new album.
