It takes a lot of courage to share the personal insecurities of married life, and Hilary Duff has that courage. The American actress and singer-songwriter, Duff, was found in a moment of vulnerability while talking about her marriage insecurities. She is married to Matthew Koma, and they work closely with each other, yet it concerns Hilary.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Hilary was found sharing her concern that her husband might leave her for someone else, even though they share a busy family life. Duff said, “I always think Matt’s going to leave me for some coolio indie songwriter that he works with,” and further explained that it is her worry, and the fact is yet to be grounded.

Her husband, MattewKoma, directly addressed these concerns and said, “Which is so insane,” and further justified, “but also very real. Those are real things to get hung up on emotionally.” According to the industry experts, the marriage fear is also the inspiration for Duff’s brand new song ‘Holiday Party’ as the track showcases some anxious thoughts that often creep in when alone.

Some of the lines from the song depict her anxious imagination, such as “In my head you live another life / Where you f-k all my friends/ And wish someone else could’ve been your wife.” It also explains what she has been suggesting in her interview. Duff further explained that expressing her thoughts and concerns through the song also helped her to cope with it; she definitely has a supportive husband in this case.

Koma did not dismiss her ‘very real’ concerns and did not even establish a counterfact that he also feels the same. He sensibly accepted the fact that these fears are real, and it is valid to feel this way. This couple shares a strong professional and creative bond that turned into a personal one. Recalling their memories, Duff said that they “ended up hanging for two hours, just talking about music.” And after that meeting, Koma said to his manager that he wanted to marry this woman.

Duff and Koma got married through an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. Currently, the couple is raising three daughters together, and Duff has a son from her previous marriage. Koma is also a creative partner of Duff, who collaborated with her on the latest musical works and helped write and produce new original work. Duff explained the creative process as “super healing.”

Perhaps that is what modern couples should learn from them: to be honest with each other!
