Ram Mandir has become a celebrity hub with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas visiting this controversial religious monument. They paid their visit this week when the controversy and rage are still ongoing as the Hindu mandir is built on a Muslim Holy site.
Since the inauguration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, many celebrities have visited the mandir, and turned into a celebrity hub. It is not sure whether these visits are taking place due to their unbridled devotion to Ram The God or Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India who gave the orders to build the temple on the very site which is religiously prone to chaos.

The Ram Mandir was built on the site where Babri Masjid was demolished by the Hindu nationalist mobs back in 1992. The rejuvenation of this massive structure has boiling a political agenda behind it which is enraging the Muslim and progressive communities of India. In a secular country where numerous religions live amicably, Narendra Modi’s initiative to create a humongous structure based on Hindu religion is nothing but a showcase of power dynamics.
Nick and Priyanka visited the temple on Wednesday with their 2-year-old daughter, named Malti. The Bollywood-turned-Hollywood actor has also shared several photos on Instagram with her family from their trip to Ram Mandir. The caption read, “Blessings for the little one and the family.”
This is not the first time but Priyanka Chopra is well known for showing her support for Narendra Modi regardless of how insensitive his actions are for the country. She has been criticized before for supporting the Modi government, a government that is known for oppressing castes as well as religious minorities in India. While the Government is embarking on a religious conflict, she made sure to show her through all these years. Other than inviting Narendra Modi to her 2018 wedding in Delhi, she has made several appearances with the Prime Minister. As usual, when the representatives of Nick and Priyanka were asked for comments on this visit, they did not respond at all.

It cost more than $217 million to build this whole project and can be considered as an absurd investment just the Statue of Unity. Modi said in January, “We are laying the foundation of India for the next 1,000 years from this moment.”
