Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2022 Contestant Rafa Yeasmin’s Performance Went Viral

The 13-year-old naive-looking girl with two-sided braids and a smile on her face came to the stage to start with a classical note and showcased her voice modulation skills. The audience including the judges of the show Neeti Mohan, Anu Malik, and Shankar Mahadevan were shaken by the introductory portion of her vocal skills. Later on, Rafa started the extremely popular number ‘Senorita’ from the Zoya Akhtar-directed movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

By the end of the classic opera-style opening Neeti Mohan one of the judges of this Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs 2022 exclaimed with astonishment “What was that?” the entire crowd experience Goosebumps while she was performing the number.

The history of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has introduced various legendary singers of Bollywood like Shreya Ghosal. After witnessing her voice and her skills it seems like this also is an initiation of another historical singer. ‘Senorita’ is a duo lingual track and her command over the Spanish portion has been extremely gripping to witness. Her voice has been extremely captivating throughout, from the wooing voice modulations to her innocent smile everything seems to be widely powerful to witness.

Rafa Yeasmin is from Malda, West Bengal and she has been taking music lessons since she was just 3 years old. And her audition surprised all three of the judges, her high and low octave modulations have been the reason many viewers of the show experienced the same thrilled by her performance as well.

This was an audacious move to perform ‘Senorita’ in front of Shankar Mahadevan as he composed the track but he too was engulfed by her performance and said, “One of the finest Senorita performances I have ever seen till date.” While Neeti Mohan said, “You are phenomenal” and continued to praise her for choosing this song and doing exceedingly well in both of the languages. And final Anu Malik said that her brilliance in singing is a lot larger than her bodily existence. And she got a direct entry to the top 12 of the show with a gold medal.

Previously she has been a contestant of Super Singer Junior on Star Jalsha (2019) and Taare Zameen Par on Star Plus (2020).
