Kendrick Lamar has dropped his fifth studio album ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’ after five long years and the fans are getting crazy over it.  This is his fourth album to reach the no.1 place on the Billboard 200 album chart.

This highly-anticipated album is creating a huge buzz with 295,500 equivalent album units being sold by the first week of release. This record is calculated till May 19 and with the coming days, the numbers are increasing rapidly.

Till the third week of the release, the album is considered to be the best 2022 debut.  Prior to Lamar, Bad Bunny Claimed the title with summer blockbuster, “Un Verano Sin Ti” selling over 274,000 equivalent album units. Before that, Future was ranking at the No. 1 position with over 222,000 units.

Lamar’s last album in 2017, ‘Damn’ was a cultural shifter that set an example in the music industry. Kendrick Lamar is the first-ever hip-hop artist to win Pulitzer Prize for this fourth studio album and earned an Oscar nomination for his contributions to the movie ‘Black Panther’.

Lamar recently offered a faultless performance at the Super Bowl and declared his departure from the label TDE.

The latest album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers’ consists of 19 unique bangers and comes with a total clock time of 72 minutes. It is one of the finest projects created by Lamar that can captivate not only hip-hop enthusiasts but all kinds of music lovers around the globe.

Currently, the album has garnered over 343.02 million on-demand streams and the numbers are going higher. Most of the profit is earned through digital album sales since it is still available online only. The offline CD of the album is released this May 22. This is the biggest sales record of 2022 after Adele’s album ‘30’ which sold over 205,000 digital albums.
