Kesha Found ‘TikTok’ Dumb Music at the Beginning

Kesha’s TikTok’ fever is not ending even after more than a decade. This pop star has given some of the biggest songs in her music career. However, ‘TikTok’ is still one of her most famous soundtracks. In the late 2000s, Kesha came up with this track, and it is still one of the most appreciated music creations of this artist. It is the audience who loved the song immensely, but at first, the artist found it ‘too dumb’.

Recently, Kesha appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and talked about how the success of ‘TikTok’ blew her away. Right before the release of this song, the artist released ‘No, oh my god’, but she never thought that her music creation would be such a massive hit. She said ‘When I was writing ‘TikTok,’ it was weird, because the dumber it got, the better it got’. She even added, ‘Which was confusing, because I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent human being. But it just got dumber and dumber and better and better’.

Kesha also said ‘When I listened to the final product, I was like, ‘This is too dumb’’. She might find the song dumb, but it is the track that helped her to be at No. 1 on the chart of Billboard Hot 100 chart as a solo music artist. In addition to that, she also remained in the same position for a total of nine weeks. Thus, it can be said that the song is anything but dumb.

Now, Kesha is all ready to release her sixth studio album. It is going to be the very first LP under her recording label, Kesha Records. Previously, Kesha was associated with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. In 2005, Kesha said that Dr. Luke drugged and raped her in 2005. That is why Dr. Luke even sued Kesha for the statement. And from then on, the legal battle between them started, which reached a settlement in 2023.

As she finally became free from all these, she started her own recording label. The artist said ‘I’m really excited for the world to hear this, because I’ve been in control of everything’. She also said, ‘It’s been all of my vision, all of my words, a lot of hard work, a lot of joy. Really coming back home to myself and feeling what freedom really looks like, feels like, sounds like’.
