Lauren Bennett, “Party Rock Anthem” Featured Singer from G.R.L., Died at 37

LMFAO’s smash hit track “Party Rock Anthem” would have been incomplete without the feature of Lauren Bennett. Unfortunately, the talented pop singer died at the age of 37. She was also the founding member of the girl group known as G.R.L.

The fellow members of the group, namely Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada, and Paula van Oppen, have announced the unfortunate news of her death through social media. Fans are deeply moved by this news that surfaced on Monday; however, the cause of the death has not been officially announced yet.

The statement on the social post, the members said, “It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” and they further added, “Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us.” They also added, “Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.” It is quite a heavy moment for the fan of Lauren as well.

Lauren Bennett was one of the most talented British singers who started her career with the popularity from The X Factor’s third series in the UK version, which took place in 2006. Although she got eliminated before the live shows, the artist soon joined the girl group Paradiso Girls to initiate her professional music career. This group was founded by Pussycat Dolls’ founder Robin Antin.

Paradiso Girls was comprised of Shar Mae Amor, Kelly Beckett, Aria Crescendo, Chelsea Korka, and last but not least, Lauren Bennett. The group debuted with their first single, “Patron Tequila,” which was released in 2009. However, the group was disbanded in 2010 with no success.

Bennett finally received the popularity and success that she deserved with her feature on LMFAO’s hit song “Party Rock Anthem”. The song was released in 2011, and it is still one of the best party anthems that everyone grooves to. It was a highly successful project that made its place at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It also held the No. 1 position for six consecutive weeks.

In 2012, Bennett again joined a girl group by Antin, named G.R.L., which represents Girls Rock Life. The group gained much attention from the listeners with their musical releases. One of the most striking collaborative projects was “Wild Wild Love,” where the group teamed up with Pitbull, and the song made its place on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

G.R.L. previously lost Simone Battle in 2014 due to suicide, and the group disbanded for a year. After losing Bennett, it is surely a heavy toll on all of the members of the group.
