Lionel Richie, Eminem, And A Lot Of Artists Have Been Selected For The Honor Of The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

A few artists are going to be inducted into the list of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Eminem, Lionel Richie, and Dolly Parton are selected for this global honor.

In the list of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a few names have been introduced recently. Lionel Richie, Eminem, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Carly Simon, and Pat Benatar have got the opportunity to make it to the list. Well, Dolly Parton was not ready to accept the honor and was resisting it.

‘extremely flattered and grateful to be nominated’ said Dolly Parton. She also said it feels like she hasn’t ‘earned that right’. This artist has been selected for her deep country music and rhythms.

Later on, the authorities addressed her as ‘a living legend and a paragon of female empowerment’.

In an interview, the artist said, ‘It was always my belief that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was for the people in rock music, and I have found out lately that it’s not necessarily that’. She also said to the media that ‘to live up to the honor…Of course I will accept it gracefully’.

To get into this diverse musical array is surely a matter of pride as this honor arrived from the votes of music experts and 1000 artists.

The chairman of the Rock Hall, John Sykes stated ‘each had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture and helped change the course of rock ’n’ roll’.

Amongst a few eligibility criteria, the important one is that the artist needs to have their first record 25 years before the nomination. It takes a long time to achieve this recognition.

Lionel Richie has given a lot of mesmerizing songs and that is why he has got the opportunity to get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He has expressed his gratitude on social media and said ‘Congratulations to all of my fellow 2022 inductees!’

A lot of people were nominated for this honor but couldn’t manage to win the title. Artists – A Tribe Called Quest, Beck, Rage Against the Machine, Kate Bush, DEVO, Fela Kuti, Dionne Warwick, MC5, and the New York Dolls – have to try their luck next year.

Though the names have been disclosed, the ceremony will be taking place with all the winners on 5th November at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
