The highly-anticipated collaboration between Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa, ‘Prisoner’ has been finally released on November 19th on major streaming platforms. The song is a unique blend of Miley’s nostalgic pop-rock resonance with Dua’s futuristic neo-pop vibe. The mind-blowing contrast merges in perfect harmony putting the audience in awe. The outstanding music video of the song, directed by Cyrus and Alana O’Herlihy offers an exciting retro feel that has the exuberance of the artists’ power-packed performance.

The track is going to be featured in Miley Cyrus’s upcoming album called Plastic Hearts that is scheduled to be released on 27th November, this year. The news of this epic collaboration was revealed by Miley herself when she posted a photo of her, Dua Lipa, and producer Andrew Watt in the studio on Instagram, back in August. The album is set to feature Billy Idol and Joan Jett as well. Her last album Younger Now was released in 2017 and her EP She Is Coming came out in 2019.

The track ‘Prisoner’ is the second release from the album, following the earlier lead single ‘Midnight Sky’. The song reflects on the mental state of being feeling trapped by the emotional bindings that we all have at some point in our lives. The song represents the outburst of emotions that have been suppressed for way too long. The song is available on all major streaming platforms.
