Tony Bennett and his exemplary contribution to music never cease to surprise the audience. He knows for sure how to keep his musical tunes playing like an ever-green serenade. He recently came out with the album, ‘Love for Sale’ which is a collaboration with another musical goddess of this generation, Lady gaga. The album came out on October 1 and according to Guinness, Bennett was exactly 95 years and 60 days old at that point making him the oldest nominee for this recognition.

Lady Gaga also officially stated her joy of sharing the mike with this legendary music artist. Gaga who is just 35 shares a 60 years old age difference with Bennett. Despite the whopping 60 years age difference, she shares that she feels tremendously inspired by her co-singer. In a video released by Interscope Records announcing the record, Gaga also shared, “I see a young boy every time I sing with him, and it just makes the experience of singing so freeing. To have it be about two souls singing together … and then at the same time, I also take in all his wisdom. The wisdom of all his years.”

The new album celebrates Cole Porter’s music. However, this is not the first time that the two artists collaborated with each other. First, they got together in 2011 for the song, ‘The Lady is a Tramp’. Then three years later, the two collaborated on an album called ‘Cheek to Cheek’.

The new Guinness record is not the first for this artist with a commendable career spanning 70 years. According to Guinness, he holds four other records. The first one is for being the oldest person to reach No.1 on the US album chart for ‘Cheek to Cheek’. He also spent the longest time in the UK top 20 albums countdown for 39 years. He is also the oldest person to enter the UK top 20 charts with ‘Duets: An American Classic’ at the age of 80. He holds the record for spending the longest time between the release of an original recording and a re-recording of the same single by the same artist.
