Olivia Rodrigo Announces New Track ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’; Part Of The New ‘Hunger Games’ Soundtrack

Olivia Rodrigo is finally joining the universe of Hunger Games, but not with her exceptional acting, with her exceptional musical talents. The Pop superstar announced the exciting news on Wednesday, November 1st, that she wrote a song exclusively for the upcoming Hunger Games movie, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’. The song is called  ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’ and it will be released on November 3rd. The soundtrack of the upcoming movie will also feature new songs from Sierra Ferrell, Molly Tuttle, Billy Strings, and more.

Rodrigo shared the news on an Instagram post where she posted the trailer of the movie along with the caption, “Soooo beyond excited that I got the opportunity to write a song for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.” The netizens could hear the harmonies of the singer over the clip. ‘Can’t Catch Me Now’ is now available to pre-order leading up to its release on November 3rd.

The song will also serve as an opening track of the 17-song official ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes’ soundtrack out on November 17th via Geffen Records, the same day of the movie’s official release in the theaters.

 The upcoming Hunger Games movie features Rachel Zegler in the leading role alongside Peter Dinklage, Tom Blyth, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis.
