Pink Floyd is coming back with a physical single release!

The world-renowned psychedelic rock band has announced the physical release of the Ukraine benefit single ‘Hey Hey Rise Up’. The song has been introduced to music lovers two months ago during the Ukraine War.

This is the band’s new single in the last 25 years, premiered digitally in April. However, the single will be released physically in both 7-inch vinyl and CD as well. The release date is scheduled for July 15 for the UK, Europe, and other nations followed by Japan on August 3.

The Floyd fanatics in North America, Canada, Mexico, and Australia will be getting their hand on the physical copies after October 21.

  Along with David Gilmour, the song features keyboardist Nitin Sawhney, drummer Nick Mason, and bassist Guy Pratt. There is a hard-hitting presence of a recording by Andriy Khlyvnyuk, a singer of the Ukrainian band ‘Boombox’. He sang ‘The Red Virburnum’ in Kyiv, a powerful voice against the war,

David Gilmour expressed his vision by saying, “We want to express our support for Ukraine and in that way, show that most of the world thinks that it is totally wrong for a superpower to invade the independent democratic country that Ukraine has become.”

He further explained how the band is trying to draw the attention of the people regarding this Russian Invasion through music and trying to gain more donations which will be further utilized in Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief.

After the rumor of a secret performance at the Glastonbury, the singer announced that he has been forced to cancel a gig due to a ‘Nasty’ illness.

The ‘Shotgun’ singer was all set to perform at the Tinderbox Festival in Odense this Friday. However, he canceled the Danish gig due to a “nasty case of laryngitis”.

He apologized by sharing a post on Twitter, sharing “Hello everybody, I’m absolutely gutted to say that I won’t be able to perform at Tinderbox Festival in Denmark tomorrow.”

The singer further explained the reason by saying, “I’ve come down with a nasty bout of laryngitis and under doctor’s orders I’ve been advised to go on full vocal rest for 48 hours.”

Even though Ezra desperately wanted not to cancel the gig but he explained his helplessness by saying “this one is out of my control”. The fans are currently wishing his speedy recovery to enjoy his live performance again.

The ‘Bad Guy’ singer is will be the youngest ever singer to feature in the show as a headliner. She will be performing on the Pyramid Stage this Friday.

However, Billie has become stronger than ever and said, “All I can say now is, for anybody who isn’t doing well, it will get better.” She further assured, “Have hope. I did this with fame riding on my shoulders.”

The post also featured single cover art that portrayed a retro comic book aesthetic along with two monkeys, personifying Snoop Dogg and Eminem. The cover art is also boasting their NFT collection of Bored Ape.

The post was quickly followed up by the YouTube video link that depicted a mixed animation video of these two legendary rappers performing together.
