Pitbull is setting his sights on a different kind of milestone, and this one involves fans, costumes, and a whole lot of shiny heads. The chart-topping performer, now 45, revealed on Tuesday, Feb. 17, that he wants to break a Guinness World Records title for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. He is planning to turn his upcoming show into what could become a history-making spectacle.

The big plan centers on his July 10 headline performance at BST Hyde Park in London, where he is urging concertgoers to fully commit to the look that has become part of his global image. He shared the idea in an Instagram post that instantly caught attention online, rallying fans to show up in costume and join the attempt. “Every time you put on that bald cap… you know you’re about to have the TIME OF YOUR LIVES! Daleee,” he captioned the post.

The venue quickly joined the excitement, posting its own graphic to confirm that the gathering would serve as an official world record attempt. “It’s official. Let’s make history,” the caption read, signaling that organizers are ready to turn a concert crowd into a record-breaking crowd. The concept fits perfectly with the artist’s reputation for high-energy shows where audience participation is part of the experience rather than an afterthought.

In a statement obtained by Rolling Stone, the hitmaker shared how much the fan support means to him and why the idea feels personal. “Let me tell you how I feel about all the bald-e’s that’s gonna be putting it down. I just wanna let y’all know that every time you put on that bald cap, you know you’re about to have the time of your lives.” He continued, “I appreciate the love, I appreciate the commitment, I appreciate the support and more than anything, I just want to say thank you.”

The inspiration for the stunt comes from a viral trend that has followed him from city to city, as fans regularly show up dressed as him. The signature look usually includes a goatee, sunglasses, a crisp white button-down shirt, and, of course, a bald cap. During an earlier conversation with the BBC, he reflected on the phenomenon and what it feels like from the stage. “Every time I’m at a show, I let them know that when you put on a bald cap, I hope you’re ready to have the time of your lives – it feels deeper than just music,” he said. He added, “It’s the ultimate trophy to be able to go on stage and see all the hard work that you put into the music. I’ve been in the game for 25 years, and to see every demographic, everybody [dressing up] at the shows is priceless.”

The London show will also feature a special guest appearance from Kesha, who previously teamed up with him on the smash hit ‘Timber’. With fan favorite tracks like ‘Give Me Everything’ and ‘Fireball’already known for igniting crowds, expectations are high that the night will feel more like a celebration than a standard tour stop. More supporting acts are expected to be announced, adding to the anticipation building around the event. Beyond London, Pitbull is also preparing to hit the road for his upcoming tour with Lil Jon, which launched on May 14 and runs through September.
