Popstar Sabrina Carpenter Starring in ‘Alice In Wonderland’ Movie

Everybody knows about the dynamic skills of the pop star Sabrina Carpenter, who can sing, perform, and act as well. This artist is now preparing to star in an upcoming ‘Alice in Wonderland’ movie, and Universal Pictures produce this reboot. Although there are no official announcements, an internal source suggests that it was Carpenter’s own idea to approach the studio, as she considers this one of her passion projects.

It is said that the pop star will also be producing the movie, but the release date for the film has not been decided yet. There is no information for the fellow cast either. According to the source, this upcoming reboot will be written by Lorene Scafaria, who has also written and directed the movie ‘Hustlers’ featuring Jennifer Lopez.

The film franchise for Alice was previously done by Disney and directed by Tim Burton in 2010. That was a highly successful movie that grossed billions of dollars at the box office. For this live-action movie, Alice was Mia Wasikowska while the other prominent characters were played by Anne Hathaway, Johnny Depp, Matt Lucas, Helena Bonham Carter, Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman, and many others. There was a sequel with the name of ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’, which was released in 2016, but it could not make a huge profit.

The upcoming movie for Alice is supposed to recreate the Victorian era story by Lewis Carroll, which was later adapted into an animated Disney Movie and gained attention from all over the world. The movie was released back in 1951, and the upcoming live-action is willing to offer the same taste.

Sabrina and Disney have an old connection, as she is an alum who worked for Disney as a child actress. She gained a fair portion of the limelight by starring in the series Girl Meets World. The series ran for three seasons and offered a wholesome coming-of-age story, which gained much attention from the audience.

She grew up and became a pop star, but never ignored her acting skills. In September, it was announced that the star will also join the cast for Seth Rogen’s The Muppet Show revival for a special one-off, which will take place in 2026.

Sabrina Carpenter is also doing great in her musical career, and the singer has already snatched six nominations at the Grammys. She got the nods for the categories, namely, Song Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, and lastly, Record Of The Year for her latest album ‘Man’s Best Friend’, which features the smash hit single ‘Manchild’.
