Ella Langley is teaming up with Koe Wetzel once again. After ‘That’s Why We Fight,’ the duo is back in the studio, calling their latest collaboration special.
Ella Langley and Koe Wetzel are joining forces once again, giving country music fans another collaboration to look forward to. The longtime friends are set to release their new duet, ‘Jaded,’ on Friday, August 7. This marks another chapter in a creative partnership that has continued to grow over the years.
The announcement arrives at a time when Langley is enjoying a remarkable run in country music. Her duet with Morgan Wallen, ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore,’ continues to make waves on the charts, while solo releases such as ‘Choosin’ Texas’ have further established her as one of the genre’s standout voices. Now, she is reconnecting with Wetzel for a fresh collaboration that already has fans eager to hear what the pair have created together.
‘Jaded’ was written by Koe Wetzel, Ella Langley, Jordan Schmidt, and ERNEST, bringing together a talented group of songwriters behind the upcoming release. The track also reunites Langley and Wetzel after the success of ‘That’s Why We Fight,’ the lead single from Langley’s 2023 EP Excuse the Mess. The song went on to earn Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, becoming an important milestone for both artists early in their careers.

Since then, Wetzel has continued to build momentum of his own. In 2024, he reached the top of the Country Airplay chart with his duet ‘High Road’ featuring Jessie Murph. He also scored another major success alongside Corey Kent with ‘Rocky Mountain Low,’ which climbed into the Country Airplay Top 5. Reflecting on their latest collaboration, Langley spoke about the history she shares with Wetzel and why returning to the studio together meant so much.
“Koe and I have known each other and been friends for a long time,” Langley said in a statement. “He was one of the first artists I ever got to collaborate with and one of the first I went out on the road with back in 2022. Getting to write and record another song together is special.”
Wetzel echoed those sentiments, highlighting the chemistry they have developed over the years. “Ella’s been one of my favorite people to write and sing with for a long time,” Wetzel added in a statement. “We recorded ‘That’s Why We Fight’ early on in both of our careers, and getting back in a room together was something we talked about every time we saw each other. When she sings, you believe it and I’m excited we could get this one out there to the fans.”
Away from the recording studio, both artists remain busy on the road. Wetzel is currently performing across the United States, Canada, and Australia as part of his The Night Champion World Tour, while Langley is leading her ‘The Dandelion Tour’. This brings her music to arena audiences as her career continues its impressive rise.
