Get ready to roll again with the Rolling Stones dropping a brand new album project this year. The upcoming studio album is titled ‘Foreign Tongues’ and offers 14 new songs.

The band seems to be making an epic comeback after many years, and this upcoming album will feature some of the greatest legends of the rock era. This new album has already released the lead single called “In the Stars,” which was dropped on Friday, May 5, and it has gained much attention from the fans and the industry. The opening track of the album, “Rough and Twisted,” has also offered a great preview of the album and created a great buzz.
A media launch for the album “Foreign Tongues” took place in Brooklyn, N.Y., which was attended by Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Mick Jagger. The three members of the band will be promoting the album across three shows or nights of the popular “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” This promotional approach starts on May 6, and fans are eager to see the legends again.

This upcoming album also features an impressive line-up of collaborative artists, which includes Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Robert Smith from The Cure. The core collaborators have also worked on this album, namely keyboardist Matt Clifford, drummer Steve Jordan, and bassist Darryl Jones. A special appearance from Charlie Watts can also be found as a tribute, as the artist passed away in 2021 after the final recording session.
“Foreign Tongues” was recorded within a month at the Metropolis Studios, which is situated in West London. The Rolling Stones united with producer Andrew Watt for this project, who also contributed to the last project, ‘Hackney Diamonds’. Talking about the studio sessions, Jagger said, “I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis,” and further added, “We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could. I like the room there as it’s not too big so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone.”
Richard, on the other hand, said, “To me, it’s all about the enjoyment of it. I’m blessed to be able to do this and long may it last.” Similarly, Wood also commented, “The atmosphere in the room was so creative, and the whole band was on top form throughout the whole process.” Now, all that remains is to listen to this fast-cooked rock album with a great line-up of collaborators.
