Raye is going to Make Her Acting Debut in Yann Demange’s ‘Lineage’

Raye is going to make it to the big screen, as she is making her debut in acting with the movie ‘Lineage’. The Billboard May 2026 cover star is cast in the crime thriller movie directed by Yann Demange. Right now, it is known that she is being cast opposite the French actor, Dali Banssalah, Isabelle Huppert, and Adam Bessa. As the announcement of the movie is made, it has created a sensation on the internet.

Previously, Raye was seen doing a cameo in the 2025 Netflix series ‘Black Rabbit’. But ‘Lineage’ is going to be the very first acting debut of the artist. All her fans will get to see her acting skills in this movie. Thus, everyone is immensely excited for its release. The movie is based on the story written by Demange. But for the big screen, Edna Walsh has penned the story.

As of now, it is known that the movie is set in modern-day London. It is a story of a father, named Tariq, who is looking to rebuild his life right after getting released from prison. This upcoming movie has already created much anticipation among her fans and global audiences. The production of the movie will start in August, in London. Thus, audiences need to wait for a little bit to see the movie on the big screen.

This year, Raye is not missing any chances to amaze her audiences. Just a few days ago, she came up with her second studio album, ‘This Music May Contain Hope’, in March. The album made it to No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition to that, the most popular song from the album ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ became the highest charted soundtrack on Billboard Hot 100. It can be said that, right after the release, this track became one of the most popular ones and ruled the internet with it.
