Rock band Weezer recently shared details of their upcoming album ‘OK Human’ which is set to release next week.

The record marks the 14th album dished out by the Californian band. The new album was first teased back in 2019 alongside their last album announcement ‘Van Weezer’. However, this album initially had a May 2020 release date but was delayed due to the pandemic.

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo told entertainment weekly that their upcoming album, ‘OK Human’ is a piano-inspired orchestral album and is set to arrive on the 29th of this month. Their other album ‘Van Weezer’ which was delayed is set for a release on May 7.

In an interview with EW back in 2019, Cuomo said that the band is going through moral combat with the upcoming album although it is already finished. ‘OK Human’s sound is very different from their other works and is inspired by a 1970 album called Nilsson Sings Newman. This particular album’s production is based on the piano and is filled to the brim with beautiful orchestration. The string portion was recorded in Abbey Road. The melodies are gorgeous and beautiful and the lyrics are eccentric.

The band also launched a teaser campaign online on 18th January that had fans converting binary code to text through scrambles and captchas to reveal the news. The lead single of the 12 track album is ‘All My Favorite Songs’. Other songs include ‘Aloo Gobi’, ‘Grapes of Wrath’, ‘Numbers’, ‘Playing My Piano’, and ‘Screens’.
