This release comes at a key moment in ShashwatSachdev’s journey. After creating powerful scores for hit films like ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’, ‘Dhurandhar’, and ‘Kesari Chapter 2’, he now takes a more personal route. ‘The Indian Odyssey’ feels different for his fans. It is free from any script or storyline and is built only on emotion and imagination. The album moves through many moods, from chaos to calm, always holding a sense of balance. Every sound feels intentional, every layer part of a bigger story. This album is Shashwat’s own vision coming alive, where cinematic energy meets deep and human expression.

‘The Indian Odyssey’ brings together a rich mix of voices that truly capture India’s soul. The album features artists like Kutle Khan, Dara Khan, Piyush Kapoor, Kala Khan, Sannidh Shah, SanahHegde, Vishal Dadlani, SudhirYadhuvanshi, JubinNautiyal, and SanjithHegde. Each artist adds their own color and emotion, creating a soundscape that feels both rooted and new. The collaboration feels organic, like a meeting of different worlds that share one deep musical heartbeat.

The CEO/President of Extreme Music, Russell Emanuel, says, “This project has been more than music—it’s been a journey of heart, soul, and collaboration. Sha’s devotion to his craft is as powerful as his sound, and I’m truly honoured to have played a small role in this extraordinary creative experience.”

‘The Indian Odyssey’ also shines through its incredible lineup of instrumentalists who bring depth and emotion to every track in this project. It features the graceful flute work of ParupalliPhalgun and Naveen Kumar, the soulful sitar of Mehtab Ali Niazi, and the expressive sarod of Pratik Shrivastava. Their sounds blend perfectly with the energy of drummer Vetrivel and the mesmerizing tones of santoor players Munja and Roshan Sharma. The percussion legend Siva Mani adds even more fire to this very traditional yet very edgy project of Sachdev, whose rhythms lift the entire experience. Together, all of them create something timeless for the audience. ‘The Indian Odyssey’ truly feels like a meeting between skills and traditional musical craft that turns each piece into an unforgettable journey through India’s sound and spirit.
