Taylor Swift is ‘Devastated’ After Her Fan’s Death in Rio

Taylor Swift has postponed her Rio de Janeiro concert after knowing about the death of her fan. The news has left her completely ‘devastated’, which is why she postponed the concert on Saturday. The 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado died on Friday evening right before her show at Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos, Brazil.

It came to know that the temperature of the venue was extremely hot, which made her unwell. They took her to the hospital immediately, but she died after an hour. This is quite shocking for everyone that how the young girl has died. As per the report of Salgado Filho Hospital, Ana Clara Benevides died due to cardiorespiratory arrest.

The artist has said ‘I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this’. She has also added ‘There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young’. It is not only shocking for Taylor, but everyone has become quite startled after getting to know this.

In addition to that, Taylor has also added by saying ‘I want to say now I feel this loss deeply and my broken heart goes out to her family and friends. This is the last thing I ever thought would happen when we decided to bring this tour to Brazil’.

Currently, there is an unprecedented heatwave in Brazil. No one could have measured the circumstances, but as this incident has happened, Taylor do not want to put anyone’s life at risk. For that reason, on social media platform, the artist has said ‘The decision has been made to postpone tonight’s show due to the extreme temperatures in Rio… The safety and well-being of my fans, fellow performers and crew has to and always will come first’.

As per the rules and guidelines, no one can take their water bottles along with them to the venue. And after that, it came to know that audiences were chanting for water. In the scorching heat, everyone was going through a lot of trouble. In the footage, it is also seen that Taylor throws a bottle into the crowd. People were literally gasping for breath in the venue. So doing a show in this weather is definitely not a good idea.
