In the newly uploaded music video, Billie Eilish shows the girl after being deserted by her male friend. She captures the period of depression and melancholy that everyone goes through immediately after heartbreak. Disoriented movement through the passage of time captures the grief fully, and the effectiveness was rendered by her vocal, lyrics, and music of the song ‘Male fantasy’.

In the music video, she meanders from one corner to the other corner of the room, from bed to sofa, and in and out of the refrigerator. The wandering in a somber fashion through the melodic progression of the song keeps the theme intensified throughout the playtime.

The music video is directed by Billie Eilish herself. She calls it “one of my first videos to edit all alone,” and labeled her experience as “a fun task and very very satisfying.” She further wrote on her Instagram, “Male Fantasy’ VIDEO OUT NOWWWWWWWW… directing and editing this video was such a joy and the best experience from start to finish. go go go watch it now hope you enjoy it.”

It is the sixth music video from the album ‘Happier Than Ever’ that Eilish herself has directed. The other videos include so far- ‘Your Power’, ‘Lost Cause’, ‘Therefore I Am’, ‘NDA’, and the album’s title track.

‘Happier Than Ever’, her second album was released back in July. Giving a five-star review to the album NME claimed that it, “fully establishes Billie Eilish as one of her generation’s most significant pop artists.”

Billie Eilish is planning to take the album ‘Happier Than Ever’ on to the world tour in 2022. She will be playing in New Zealand, Europe, North America, and Australia.

She has recently become the youngest to win the PETA’s Person Of The Year Award for animal rights advocacy. She also got a designer Oscar de la Renta for her commitment to going far free. She described these moments as career highlights.

For her song, Billie said earlier, “It’s difficult to be vulnerable and honest and open about my life right now”. She further added, “I don’t usually write about what I’m going through at the moment because it’s hard to process it.”

Meanwhile, the song only a few hours after the release has hit 2 million views. Fans are admiring her for the magic she has created on the screen with her song and direction.
